UNC Charlotte is committed to providing support and assistance to students who have experienced forms of interpersonal violence, including instances of sexual assault. The University has established a Title IX Office whose primary focus is to provide education around the issues of sexual assault, relationship violence, and stalking; thoroughly investigate reports of such matters; and ensure University compliance with federal regulations. More information about the Title IX Office and related resources can be found on the website: https://titleix.uncc.edu/about-title-ix or by downloading the Interpersonal Violence Resource Guide.

The Dean of Students Office serves an integral role in providing outreach and support to students involved in instances of sexual assault, relationship violence, and stalking. This support often takes the form of referrals for on and off-campus resources, information regarding campus and criminal options, and advocacy for academic accommodations. Should you need assistance or guidance related to any of these matters, please contact Assistant Dean of Students Larry Gourdine at 704-687-0343, via email at lgourdin@uncc.edu, or visit our office located in 217 King Bldg.
