2017-2018 New Member Application for the SGA Judicial Branch

Thank you for your interest in the Student Government Association, Judicial Branch here at UNC Charlotte.

Applications are due by midnight on Wednesday, March 20, 2017.

    • February 27th at 6:00pm in Student Union 261
    • March 14th at 6:00pm in Cone 109
    • March 15th at 6:00pm in Cone 210

Eligibility Requirements:

  • All members must be enrolled students in good standing at the time of their appointment and must remain students in good standing for the duration of their term (defined as not currently on disciplinary probation or higher, as defined by the Code of Student Responsibility, and/or has not been suspended for a violation of the Code of Academic Integrity).
  • All members must have and maintain a 2.50 GPA (semester and cumulative).
  • All members will be required to attend a three-day training retreat, August 25-27, 2017.

Time Commitment:

  • As part of the Judicial Branch, you will be assigned a primary case night each week. It is expected that you attend each of your primary case nights.  For your primary night, you should plan on having a case unless otherwise instructed.
  • There is also a monthly in-service held for Judicial Branch members, leadership, and advisors.  These meetings are typically from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm on the last Friday of the month. Specific dates will be provided at the retreat.

  • Interviews will take place March 27, 2017-April 7, 2017.
